I have mixed feelings. I like and respect Dr. Dan a lot, but feel his wife often does extraneous things without telling me the extra cost beforehand.
Overcharge Overcharge Overcharge. I don't know how they sleep at night. Examples: you come in for annual vaccinations expecting to pay maybe 100 or 200 bucks right?... They tell you they are going to run a standard test. They tell you you need to do a fecal test. They check your dogs heart rate and say he looks good. When you go to pay 900 bucks!! How you ask.....Apparently they took a drop of blood and have a high school kid look at automatic readout on machine for the "blood test" which I wouldn't have done if I knew it was going to cost well over 100 bucks. Then the fecal test: I have spoked with others and apparently they either charge for the same type of read out as blood test if you bring poop in. In my case I didn't even bring in dog poop and said no to test... solution "charge me anyway" but they give me tubes that I can take home and bring back to put in same machine but now they have their money whether I bring the tubes back or not. Then the vet visit.... They literally pet my dog, listened to the heart with a stethoscope, and said looks good then gave the shots which is the only reason I was there. 5 minute visit maybe 10 minutes if I am generous... price another 150 bucks. Add the price of the shots.
This facility lacks integrity to do the right thing. My puppy lost her life under their care and they will not acknowledge their responsibility. Truly a simple thing and I could bury my little girl peacefully if they could. Instead they took our money with no hesitation and moved on. Rest peaceful baby girl. I will miss your naps on my chest like this picture.
I took my dog to boarding and asked to see the area. (When I scheduled the appointment I was told I didn't need to bring her bed.) The dogs were on the cold, hard floor in what looked like a shelter. I understand that dogs stress out and can chew bedding, but they need to be at least off the floor. I ran back home before they closed to get her bed.
Best vet Dr we have ever had. Followed Dr Jill from her past office.
Only giving one star as there isn't an option to give less. This place charges and overcharges. They will add services you didn't ask for.. ask you for services that you don't need and not explain the cost. Get out your checkbook as this married couple will find away to take a $100 visit and turn it into $400 or $800. They have misdiagnosed and then charged for that. Look elsewhere!
So I think they have room for improvement in their integrity to their customers and treatment of the pets, but I have also had good experiences there with vet techs, office staff, and Dr. Dan. If Dr. Sara is the other vet, I also had no qualms with her.
Amanda is super helpful and sent me pics and talked to me every time I asked for updates.
Oh by the way they have missed a key issue with my pet so I had to go to another vet. If you have money to burn call me and ill take it and tell you your dog is fine. Don't go here.. They were nice when I am there and always smile but I would smile too if I was getting that much money for that little work. Done
