Even if we look at bad dog owners who don't pick up waste, bad hikers leave litter behind. Yet there's no ban on bringing any sort of food or drink on the trails, but there is a ban on dogs.

Another great place for a walk or run. I love the maps every few quarter miles to keep you from getting lost and also to track your jogging speed.

What logic is there to not allow dogs on the paths? I pick up my dog's waste, she is on a leash, so she won't be chasing down any wildlife, and all the people likely scare away anything my dog would scare. It's not a dangerous path for dogs: no cliffs or bears at Sharon Woods. So why not allow pups?

Nearly 50% of homes in the US have dogs, so why make a rule so stupid that affects almost half of the population?

We went hoping for a quick hike with our dog but our only option was the 3.8 mile hike and we didn't have the time to do that. All "nature" trails ban dogs. By the way, what part of a gravel path through the woods constitutes as nature?

What kind of park doesn't allow dogs on the majority of the trails? (All except one!)

Sharon Woods is by far my favorite park in the Westerville area. Their nature trail is very calming and a photographer's dream. The nature trail does not allow pets or jogging. There is a small lake where you can catch and release from the docks with the proper fishing license. Sharon Woods has numerous play areas for children and a variety of trails to use. There are trails for joggers, bikers and also some pet trails as well. The trails vary in distance and difficulty and grabbing a map from one of the many information stands will be helpful. Sharon Woods also offers activities throughout the year, and I highly recommend visiting during each season.

Nice little park, good for kids and local little league baseball is here. Short, but fun trail through the small patch of woods. There's a longer one for bikers and joggers. It opens at sun up and closes at sun-down. The experience is generally enjoyable. It's a good spot for outdoor get togethers, photography, picnics, exercise, and some sports. There are bathroom facilities just in case you need one. Good views, usually a good time. The shortest walking path also has a few spots to rest and a spot that opens up to a field. The field could be nicer, but eh.

Fun place to take your family outside. Lots of places to walk and playgrounds for kids to play and a nice little lake too. I'm not sure if you can fish but no swimming
